Days 2 Die-The Other Side

"Brilliant zombie killing game"

date: October 11, 2009

I found this game really enjoyable, even more so then the first. The weapons where good, the zombies couldn't take shot after shot after shot with the good guns and the story line fit the game. I managed to beat it with the M14, but I am sure it is possible with the MP5 that you are given early on. While it would have been nice to have been able to make the survivors carry a weapon, at least early on you have another shooter with you. I also would have liked to have been able to buy med kits from Drebin, but that isn't a major issue. I look foreword to Days 2 Die 3 if there ever is one and would like to see a long game, perhaps ending the series with the outbreak coming under control or something. Zombie killing games are always fun and I think just about every one of us has an idea for one, the question is how many can turn out this good.

Living-Night

"Gets old fast"

submission: Living-Night
date: October 1, 2009

First off all, I like the idea of zombie sniping, it seems like a fairly enjoyable thing to do, but this game really failed to impress me overall. The aiming system was like CorpseGrinder said more suited to an artillery game, even though it was easy enough to figure out (the second time), it just didn't fit. The zombies didn't advance or attack in any way, and I found this kind of dull. There where no upgrades and no real reason to continue playing for more then five minutes.
To improve the game, make it more of a sniper game. Make it where the zombies can attack the character and you must find a good sniping location (good field of view and distance from nearing zombies) in order to avoid them or pick them off in time. Shot placement would also count, perhaps it would take two shots to the center mass (body) or one to the head for a kill in order to make the game more interesting. There could also be unlockable weapons, for example, you start with a bolt action rifle where you have to operate the bolt after every shot (space button perhaps) and can unlock a semi-auto later or something like that. Perhaps there could also be friendlies in the area, survivors you don't shoot and need to protect for a few moments as they cross your field of view or something, after that it's up to them. These are just a few suggestions that could make for a more enjoyable playing experience and a higher rated game.

The Future Wasn't There

"Good movie"

date: September 17, 2009

An enjoyable movie, the first I've watched on this site for a while, it just caught my eye. I liked the message, or what I gathered from it, that he became to dedicated, to caught up in his machine that he ignored everything else in his life, sacrificing the future he was trying to reach. I'm probably wrong, but still an enjoyable movie, the lack of dialouge served it well and if there had of been any it would have hurt the movie's flow I think, the scenes spoke for themselves.

Thanks for watching! And you were spot on with what I was trying to say with this story.

Armored Corps

"Good game"

submission: Armored Corps
date: August 29, 2009

It's a fairly good game, but it does leave a bit to be desired. It could go with a basic storyline, even though that's not really important, it can add something to the game. It would be better if it was set in different environments that where more then just colored backgrounds, such as cities and fields. There could be obstacles the tank couldn't cross or mud that slowed it down for example, but did the same to enemy armor. Infantry could also make an appearance, and allied units would also be a good addition. Basic missions would also help, such as destroying a target objective or defending one, but would require some form of basic storyline as well. Overall, it's a good game with obvious room for improvement.

Wolf Man

"Very short"

submission: Wolf Man
date: August 29, 2009

For what it is, it's fairly good, but there really isn't much to it. You're other submission of "AR15" was also okay, but way too short. You seem to have the talent to make something good, maybe combine the two and add some other parts for a fight sequence or something like that, but try to make something longer and more worthwhile in the future.

"Quite Enjoyable"

I enjoy the Captain Capitalism cartoons on this site, mainly becouse their one of the few things that as HoboBobby said aren't mindless cock jokes or spam. And seeing as intil this point I've never even heard of Menudo, I now have to believe their evil communist plotters. Does the Captain have any future North Korean adventures coming, and it's a shame you missed 12:34:56 on the 8th, better luck next century.

"Sadly Enjoyable"

submission: D-Day Defender

I quite enjoyed this game and I didn't think that I would. The graphics did leave a bit to be desired, a more first person with the gun sights would have been better in that sense, but they did fit the story. Your voice fit well, it sounded right in a way, and the graphics fit as they helped to show the impossible odds the character was facing that would eventually lead to his inevitable death. The game doesn't seem pro Nazi to me, just the last experience of someone thrown up against odds he can not even hope to overcome. Quite enjoyable, maybe now you should make a game from the allied point of view, perhaps a bit more hopeful. Very good job

"Interesting game"

submission: Zombie-Mayhem

I found the game to be entertaining and it kept my attention, and the character was very fast with a bow, but it raises some questions, such as why were the people tied up where the zombies where coming from and why didn't the zombies simply just turn around and attack them?

The Elevator of the Dead

"Not bad"

date: April 16, 2009

Overall not bad, the weapon selection could have been better, there could have been a health bar or something, maybe the ability to take cover in the sides of t he elevator or something. It would have been nice to have used the gun sights instead of the crosshairs, but that's not a big deal. I like how you didn't have to reload.

Days 2 Die

"Damn good game, but"

submission: Days 2 Die
date: March 15, 2009

First of all, it's a very good game. I'm a fan of the zombie survival genre, and I can see the last stand influences right off the bat. I liked being able to search through the environment looking for a place to hold out and found the environments to be large enough for their purposes. The weapon selection was good, there could have been more, but what's there will do for now. The mercenaries where good, though expensive, and the limited variety of zombies was okay.
Obviously, there are ways this game could be improved. First of all, a minor thing here, the weapons. The selection is quite wide, with everything from the M9 pistol, to the zombie staple shotgun and chanisaw, to the M4 carbine and hand grenades. However, I would have liked to have seen add on's to the weapons, such as a bayonet for the M4 and AK-47 for close quaters combat, so as to allow me to defend myself in close quaters when out of ammunition without switching to a melee weapon. From experience with M4 type weapons, the reload time was good for someone on the verge of shock, but the shotgun should have been quicker to load then it was. I also would have liked to have seen more machine gun type weapons, such as the M249 or M60. Their high rate of fire and higher caliber could have proved highly valuable at times.
Another part of this game that could have been improved is character customization. It would have been nice to have been able to choose the character's gender, but things such as purchasable body armor would have been greatly welcomed.
Moving on to the mercenaries, I found them to be okay for what they were, though expensive. I would have liked it if you had also been able to find survivors scattered throughout the game and have been able to equip them with the weapons you aren't using, but they'd also use your ammunition. That could make the game more interesting.
A save feature would have been nice, as would a larger selection of zombies. I could hear what sounded like a zombie dog/wolf in the distance, but I never saw it. That could have proved an interesting and highly deadly foe, but perhaps it's just further along in the game then I played.
All in all, a good game. Obviously, there is room for improvement, but overall, you must have put a lot of work in this game, and it definetly shows.
